JEE Main 2022: NTA has rescheduled JEE Main 2022, It will now be conducted from April 21 till May 4, 2022. Earlier JEE Main Dates were clashing with state board exam dates, therefore the authorities decided to postpone JEE Main 2022
EE Main Application Forms are available till March 31, 2022. Candidates can apply online at jeemain.nta.nic.in.They can only register for JEE Main first session only by March 31. For Phase 2, NTA will re-open JEE Main Registration from April 8
This year JEE Main Exam will be conducted in 2 phases. JEE Main Phase-1 exam is scheduled from April 21 to May 4, 2022. Unlike last year with 4 attempts, JEE Main candidates will get only 2 chances to score well in JEE Main exam

JEE Main 2022 Notification
- JEE Main 2022 Notification has been released on March 1, 2022. Along with the official notification, NTA has released the official brochure, detailed syllabus and exam pattern.
- JEE Main 2022 Registration has also started on March 1, 2022. Candidates can apply till March 31 for Phase 1 exam.
- For 2021, the official JEE Main Notification was announced by the then Union Cabinet Minister for Education, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on December 20, 2020. Meanwhile, the registrations for the first session started soon after the announcement of the official notification.
- JEE Main 2021 Phase I (February Session) was held from February 23, 2021.
- NTA has announced the decrease in the number of JEE Main 2022 Attempts. The exam will be conducted in April and May

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the online application form for JEE Main 2022, candidates should make sure they meet the eligibility criteria. Read the details brochure carefully to make sure you meet all of the eligibility requirements. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be qualified for JEE Main exam:
Age Requirement (Date of Birth):
- Those born on or after October 1, 1997, are eligible to sit for JEE Main 2022.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates, on the other hand, are eligible for 5-year age relaxation and must be born on or after October 1, 1992.
- The date of birth on the candidate's higher secondary education (10th) certificate will be taken into account.
Criteria for Eligibility:
- In the years 2021 or 2022, applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/institute.
- Candidates who took the 12th class exam in 2019 but did not pass the exam are ineligible to take the exam again, even though they pass the exam later.
- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be required subjects in the qualifying test.
- Candidates who take the qualifying exam will also be considered.
- Candidates who have completed three-year diploma programs will be accepted as well.
- Specified Number of Attempts
- The number of attempts permitted for JEE Main is limited to three. It means that if a candidate fails to pass JEE main in the first attempt, he or she will take the next two exams.
- Just like last year, NTA has removed the minimum 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2022
JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern
- No new changes have been made to JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern this year however the marking scheme has been revised.
- JEE Main is conducted through three papers –
- Paper 1- B.E/ B.Tech,
- Paper 2A- B.Architecture and
- Paper 2B- B.Planning.
- JEE Main Exam Pattern has undergone some major changes last year. For the first time choices had been introduced for questions considering the reduction in the syllabus by CBSE and other state boards. Although total questions in each of the 3 papers have been increased, the total marks for the papers remain the same as the previous years.
- The Marking Scheme of JEE Main 2022 has been revised. This year there will a negative marking in both MCQs and numerical value answers.
- +4 for each correct response;
- -1 for each incorrect response;
- Unattempted questions will not be marked.
- For Drawing Test: 2 questions of 100 marks
JEE Main Admit Card 2022
Before the test, candidates who have completed their registration can download JEE Main 2022 admit card from the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. Without a valid JEE Main admit card, no one will be permitted to take the entrance exam.
- When the invigilator or some other interested person requests it, you must display the admit card.
- Candidates must ensure that all information on the admit card is right, including their name, date of birth, and exam date.
- If a candidate discovers a difference, he or she must report it to the appropriate authority.
- When attending the test, you must bring your admit card as well as a valid photo ID such as an Aadhar card, a voter card, a driver's license, or a passport.

JEE Main 2022 Answer Key
- NTA will release JEE Main answer keys and scanned copies of OMR sheets for Paper-I Paper-II and Paper 3, following the successful completion of the JEE Main 2022 exam.
- JEE Main Answer Keys can be found on the official website by the candidate.
- Candidates can now review their responses and measure their expected scores with the aid of response keys and OMR sheets.
- Candidates can challenge JEE Main official Answer Key by paying INR 200 per challenge.
JEE Main 2022 Result
- JEE Main Result contains JEE Main scores, percentile and rank.
- Top 2,50,000 test takers of JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2022.
- For those who have taken multiple attempts, their best of all the scores shall be taken for preparation of the rank list.
- No one will receive a rank card in the mail from the responsible authority.

JEE Main 2022 – Admission at NITs
- The admission policy for NIT states is that out of the total number of seats, 50 percent of the seats will be reserved for students of the particular state where the NIT is located.
- The other 50 percent of seats will be granted based on All India Rank (AIR) of students from other states.
- A candidate can avail of a scholarship based on their class XII performance and JEE Main Score.
