Santosh Medical College & Hospital, popularly known as SMCH, Ghaziabad is the only deemed medical institute in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The college was established in 1995 and initially, it was affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University till 2007. After Santosh University came into existence in 2007, the college became a constituent unit of Santosh University. Later the university was conferred with the Deemed Status by the UGC, New Delhi. SMCH, Ghaziabad is also recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

All the medical courses are advanced and the curriculum is as per the directions of the National Medical Commission, New Delhi (Earlier MCI). SMCH, Ghaziabad is one of the leading Medical Colleges in Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh as well. Santosh Medical College Ghaziabad: Eligibility Criteria

Santosh Medical College & Hospital, Ghaziabad offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. The college has been demanding as this is the only deemed medical college in the state of UP and Delhi-NCR. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in SMCH, Ghaziabad, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 

• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.

• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.

• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.

• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Santosh Medical College Ghaziabad: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses in SMCH, Ghaziabad are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. SMCH, Ghaziabad offers MD and MS Courses in several disciplines. Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by MCC. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

All the Postgraduate students of SMCH, Ghaziabad are entitled to receive a stipend per month throughout the duration of the course, decided by the College administration and as per the guidelines formulated by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi.
