Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research is the newest medical college in the state of Karnataka. The medical institute is popularly known as CDSIMER, Hubli. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar College is established in the last year 2020 under the ambit of Dayananda Sagar University. The parent university of Dr. Chandramma Institute of Medical Education & Research i.e. Dayananda Sagar University has been established by an act of state legislature of Karnataka Govt. as a Private University. Dayananda Sagar University was established in Aug 2015.

As far as CDSIMER, Hubli is concerned, the medical college had started its academic programs for the last year 2020 with due permission of the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. Initially CDSIMER, Hubli is granted to have an annual intake of 150 MBBS students per session.

Apart from advanced medical programs, the medical college has been imparting several para-medical courses in Medical Technology. Currently CDSIMER, Hubli is an integral unit of Dayananda Sagar University and affiliated with the same as well. The medical college is recognized by NMC (Earlier MCI), New Delhi, and well approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India. All the admissions to the Undergraduate Course are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG. Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore. For All India Quota seats, students need to participate in the counselling conducted by the same. For MBBS Aspirants:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same.
Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

Being one of the Premier Medical Colleges in Karnataka, Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research, Hubli offers Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. The college offers an MBBS Program that carries a duration of 4.5 years of Academic Course and 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The entire duration of the course is 5.5 years.

Aspirants seeking admission to CDSIMER, Hubli need to qualify for NEET-UG. Candidates are required to go through a centralized Counselling process conducted by KEA, Bangalore.

All rounds of Counselling are held online.
