Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research is the newest medical college in the state of Karnataka. The medical institute is popularly known as CDSIMER, Hubli. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar College is established in the last year 2020 under the ambit of Dayananda Sagar University. The parent university of Dr. Chandramma Institute of Medical Education & Research i.e. Dayananda Sagar University has been established by an act of state legislature of Karnataka Govt. as a Private University. Dayananda Sagar University was established in Aug 2015.
As far as CDSIMER, Hubli is concerned, the medical college had started its academic programs for the last year 2020 with due permission of the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. Initially CDSIMER, Hubli is granted to have an annual intake of 150 MBBS students per session.
Apart from advanced medical programs, the medical college has been imparting several para-medical courses in Medical Technology. Currently CDSIMER, Hubli is an integral unit of Dayananda Sagar University and affiliated with the same as well.
