Maharashtra Institute of Technology World Peace University (MIT WPU) is a state-private university located in Maharashtra. Established in 2017, the University is a part of MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions. It is also considered among the top education institutions in India since the establishment of the MIT Group of Institutes in 1983. MIT WPU houses around 17 departments that collectively offer over 80 courses across 11 streams at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctorate-level under its several schools, such as Design, Management, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Chemistry and Computer Science, to name a few. MIT WPU also offers several new-age courses, including a PG diploma in Cybersecurity, BBA Liberal Studies Leadership, PGP in Public Policy, among others which add an extra feather to the education background of students as well as professionals.
The flagship course of the University, BTech is offered for a duration of four years, while the duration of the remaining UG courses ranges from three-five years. The University also offers an Integrated BTech programme for Class 10 pass-outs of six years duration. Apart from this, the PG programmes are mostly of two years duration. While the COVID-19 pandemic was a huge challenge facing the entire world, MIT WPU managed to record remarkable placement statistics during 2021 placements. So far, in excess of 850 students from Engineering and over 750 Management students have been placed. Rakuten selected two students with a CTC of INR 37.26 LPA, the highest CTC ever offered on campus so far. ExtraMarks Education selected 10 students with the highest CTC of INR 12.4 LPA, beating out last year highest CTC of INR 10 LPA offered by Schlumberger Limited.
