Shymanuru Shivashankarappa Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre

SSIMS&RC was established in the year 1958 and promoted by Bapuji Educational Association. This is one of the oldest medical institutes in the state of Karnataka, equipped with the largest hospital in the country. SSIMS&RC is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, and recognized by National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. The medical institute is well approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India.

As far as the admissions to this college are concerned, SSIMS&RC, Davangere has been providing admissions to MBBS at the UG level and several Clinical and Para-Clinical specializations through MD/MS programs with a duration of 3 years.
