Dr. D.Y Patil Education Society is the parent organization of D.Y. Patil Medical College, based in Kolhapur. This Medical Institute is one of the Top Medical Academic Centers that has been producing excellent doctors and medical experts since its inception. Dr. D.Y. Patil Education Society was established in 1987 and since then the society has been reflecting its remarkable performance in various research projects and Advanced medical training. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Kolhapur is a constituent unit of Dr. D.Y. Patil Education Society. Initially, the college was affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur later it got affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and then in 2005, D.Y. Patil Medical College has accorded its Deemed status which was conferred to D.Y. Patil Education society as well.

D.Y. Patil Medical College, Kolhapur is currently offering MBBS and MD/MS courses at distinct Academic levels. All the courses are well approved by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi, and recognized by MoHFW i.e. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
